For the seventeenth year in a row, I am going to be single on Valentine’s day. If you had asked me a few years ago what my feelings are on Valentine’s Day you would probably get a relatively bitter answer, but this year I’m feeling the love. Don’t get me wrong– I still joke about being single more than I should, but I’m by no means sad, and I’m sure as hell not lonely.
Being single this year has a plethora different perks:
1. I can have as many Valentines as my heart desires.
This year, my valentines include myself, my friends, my family, and most importantly my dog Sammy.
2. I can watch my loved ones give and receive love.
My sister and I spent the entirety of last night writing a love note for her boyfriend and spit-balling the best (and most ridiculous) pet names. Our favorite happens to be plum sauce.
3. I can just chill.
This year has been very very confusing year for my emotions and boys (mostly because senior year has left me with far too much free time), and personally I think it is best that I sit this one out.
So whether you are single or in a relationship or somewhere in between just have a happy,
love-dovey Valentine’s day!
love you alottle (my lil plum sauces),
tori
